For more than 20 years, Relay has helped districts in California navigate the LEA Medi-Cal Billing Option Program (LEA BOP). In addition to supporting clients with traditional school-based Medicaid billing, Relay is now supporting clients with documentation and billing for the CYBHI program in California. With software configured to the unique needs of California districts, Relay helps you save time with streamlined service logging and data integrations that reduce double entry.
Get Started“Since switching over to Relay we have significantly increased our Medicaid reimbursements. Additional sources of potential revenue were immediately brought to our attention by the Relay team, which offered additional reimbursement options that our previous vendor failed to share with us. The additional funds received has allowed us to provide programs and services to students with disabilities that previously were unavailable.”

California Medi-Cal program pays for medically necessary services for Medicaid-eligible children under age 21 (included birth to three). The billing providers are the Local Education Agencies (LEAs), including school districts, county offices of education, charter schools. Individual rendering providers are not required to enroll in Medicaid to bill, and LEAs are required to ensure that only qualified rendering providers are providing services.
