“Since switching over to Relay we have significantly increased our Medicaid reimbursements. Additional sources of potential revenue were immediately brought to our attention by the Relay team, which offered additional reimbursement options that our previous vendor failed to share with us. The additional funds received has allowed us to provide programs and services to students with disabilities that previously were unavailable.”

Eligibility & Billing in California

California Medi-Cal program pays for medically necessary services for Medicaid-eligible children under age 21 (included birth to three). The billing providers are the Local Education Agencies (LEAs), including school districts, county offices of education, charter schools. Individual rendering providers are not required to enroll in Medicaid to bill, and LEAs are required to ensure that only qualified rendering providers are providing services.
