We support Connecticut school districts as they navigate School Based Child Health Services (SBCH).

Relay has been working with Connecticut school districts for more than 20 years. Year over year, our clients see an increase in their Medicaid revenues (including non-pandemic times). Just this past year, 98% of our client base saw Medicaid revenues greater than the prior year and 85% of those districts are back to pre-pandemic revenue amounts. This all stems from the collaborative partnerships and strong relationships we have with our clients.

Eligibility & Billing in Connecticut

Connecticut’s School Based Medicaid Child Health service program pays for medically necessary services (IEP and 504) for Medicaid-eligible children under age 21 (included birth to three). Districts with a total district student count less than 1000 don’t have to participate. The billing providers are the Local Education Agencies (LEAs). Rendering providers do not need to enroll in Medicaid separately but do need to meet appropriate provider qualifications to provide services.
