Eligibility & Billing in Georgia

Medicaid-eligible special education children ages birth to 20 having a disability for covered medically necessary services provided pursuant to an IEP/IFSP are eligible. The billing providers are the Local Education Agencies (LEAs). Rendering providers do not need to enroll in Medicaid separately, so long as the LEA employs or has a formal contract with providers who meet Medicaid provider qualifications.
