Eligibility & Billing in Indiana

Eligibility is defined as Medicaid-eligible students under age 21 with an educational plan (IEP, 504 Plan, Health Care Plan, etc.), and services must be medically necessary. In Indiana, public school corporations are the billing providers and are required by state statute to enroll in the Medicaid program. Rendering providers are not required to enroll separately in Medicaid, with the exception of school psychologists who must enroll individually if they are not currently billing.
