Children eligible for Medicaid and IDEA are covered for medically necessary services pursuant to an IEP or IFSP. Behavioral health services are covered for Medicaid-eligible children regardless of IEP (children still must have Section 504 plan or plan). The billing providers are the Local Education Agencies (LEAs). Rendering providers must enroll in Medicaid.
